Job summary

Sedgwick, a global leader in claims management, seeks a Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster for NY jurisdiction with telecommuter options. The role focuses on analyzing Lost-Time WC claims to determine benefits due, while maintaining adjudication standards and client service requirements.

The ideal candidate has 2 years in claims management, a HS diploma (Bachelor's preferred) and relevant certifications. Hybrid work is available; NY licensing is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Education & Licensing: 2 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and processing workers' compensation claims to determine benefits due and adjudicate within service expectations.
• Negotiating settlement of claims within designated authority.
• Communicating claim activity with the claimant and client.
• Reporting claims to excess carrier and responding to requests professionally and timely.
