Job summary

Optum Infusion Pharmacy (OIP) in UnitedHealth Group seeks a Nutrition Support Dietitian to drive nutrition care for home PN patients and lead cross-functional teams in the pharmacy network.

This remote role requires working 8:00am–5:00pm in the Chandler AZ time zone, with occasional on-site visits to Chandler as needed, and contributes to clinical nutrition services, reimbursement activities, and education for staff and external providers.

Qualifications

• RDN license (state) and CNSC certification or plan to obtain within first year
• 8+ years of clinical nutritional support experience (home infusion preferred)
• Excellent verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams including dietitians, pharmacists, nurses and physicians
• Ability to work independently and remotely; occasional travel may be required

Responsibilities

• Provide nutrition care for home PN patients; act as SME for nutrition support
• Lead the nutrition care process in the branch and educate external providers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance nutrition support practices
• Perform nutritional screening, assessment, and interpretation of labs and drug–nutrient interactions
• Develop and implement nutrition plans of care and monitor patient response
• Support reimbursement activities and staff/education programs
• Maintain professional competency and adhere to standards of conduct
