The Archdiocese of St. Louis is seeking an Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting and financial record keeping for several agencies, schools or departments.

You will ensure accurate GAAP-compliant entries and nonprofit accounting standards while supporting budget preparation and projections. Responsibilities include general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, month-end close, audits, and collaboration with agency leaders.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of related accounting experience.
• Strong analytical and technical writing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Mansioni

• Maintain day-to-day accounting and financial records for assigned agencies, schools or departments.
• Ensure GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards are followed.
• Perform general ledger maintenance, reconciliations and month-end close.
• Assist with year-end close, audits, budgets and projections.
• Prepare journal entries for the general ledger and subsidiary systems.
• Review AR/AP batches and reconcile accounts as needed.
• Support agency leaders with budget development and analysis.
• Participate in board/finance meetings and audit work papers as required.
• Collaborate with teams and support special financial reports.
