Job summary

Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) invites applicants for the ORISE - NIH Data COUNTS and the Real-World Data Network fellowship in Bethesda, MD, with options for remote participation. The program aims to address America's chronic disease crisis through innovative data science initiatives and NIH collaboration.

Participants will engage in mentored learning, develop expertise in data quality, harmonization, governance, and apply clinical data science concepts to RWD usage

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older at time of application.
• Doctoral degree in a relevant field completed within the last five years.
• U.S. citizenship, Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR), or eligible non-U.S. citizen status per guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Engage in mentored learning to understand NIH collaborations with healthcare organizations for real-world data collection.
• Develop skills in data quality evaluation, methodological approaches, data harmonization and governance within controlled-access environments.
• Apply clinical data science concepts to study RWD usage across NIH programs and share findings with NIH staff via papers and posters.
