Job summary

Wayne State University seeks an Angstrom Innovation Campus NGS Intern to promote cutting-edge DNA sequencing services on campus. The role focuses on building relationships with researchers, collecting orders, and earning commissions while working ~10 hours per week in a remote/flexible setup.

Ideal candidates are undergrad/grad/postdoc with strong communication, an interest in biotech, and comfort talking with researchers.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate, graduate student, or postdoc at a research university.
• Strong communication and networking skills.
• Interested in biotechnology, life sciences, or entrepreneurship.
• Self-motivated and comfortable talking with researchers.
• Learn directly from experts in next-generation sequencing (NGS) and genomics.

Responsibilities

• Visit research labs on campus and present Angstrom's sequencing services.
• Build relationships with faculty, graduate students, and lab staff while answering questions about Angstrom's services.
• Help customers submit and ship sequencing samples.
• Coordinate daily UPS sample drop-offs as needed.
• Represent Angstrom at your university events.
