Job summary

TDS Telecom seeks a Network Specialist I-OSP Construction to coordinate outside plant construction and splicing across multiple locations. You will work with Network Operations, engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure fiber and HFC networks meet OSP standards and NESC requirements.

Role may be remote across 40+ states with a preference near Green Bay, WI. Responsibilities include cost estimates, project audits, and maintaining compliance while supporting in-market needs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (or higher) or 2+ years professional work experience.
• 3+ years in OSP Construction/Engineering or related field.
• Valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate OSP project work and supervise consultants across locations/states.
• Provide audits of OSP projects and coach contractors for compliance with NEC and TDS standards.
• Review reports and contractor invoicing; manage project progress and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and department interactions; lead pre-staking/pre-bid/pre-construction meetings.
• Verify completion of required documents (bids, build orders, start agreements, VMOPs).
