RIVA Solutions, Inc. is hiring a Network & Computer Systems Engineer (Firewall Engineer) to install, configure, operate, and maintain enterprise network and security infrastructure for a federal customer, with strong Palo Alto, ISE, and VPN experience.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams, incident response, documentation, and continuous improvement of network resilience while supporting a remote work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Four years of network or systems administration experience.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise firewalls and network-security technologies.
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience with Cisco ISE and NAC technologies.
• Experience with F5 load balancing.
• Experience with Splunk or SIEM.
• Experience with VMware AirWatch and Microsoft Intune.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and security principles.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain enterprise network-security infrastructure.
• Manage Palo Alto firewalls, rules, and logging.
• Support Cisco ISE for NAC and endpoint visibility.
• Configure enterprise Wi-Fi networks and wireless controllers.
• Manage F5 load balancers and application delivery.
• Monitor network performance and security events.
• Troubleshoot outages, firewall, and VPN issues.
• Review logs with Splunk and SIEM tools for incident analysis.
• Support CDM activities including remediation and compliance.
• Manage endpoint deployments with VMware AirWatch and Intune.
• Document network diagrams, SOPs, and implementation plans.
• Coordinate with teams to implement changes.
