Job summary

Everforth ECS is seeking a Network & Security Infrastructure Engineer to work in Washington, DC office or remote. The role focuses on re-architecting VMware ESXi, implementing proper VLAN segmentation, and strengthening firewall security across enterprise environments.

Responsibilities include firewall administration for Check Point and Palo Alto platforms, Cisco network security, and Aruba wireless, with collaboration across cybersecurity, systems administration, and tech support to maintain

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in network security engineering or closely related infrastructure discipline.
• Direct hands-on experience with VMware ESXi re-architecture and VLAN segmentation design preferred.
• Experience administering enterprise firewall technologies (Check Point and Palo Alto).
• Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs) and security operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead re-architecture of VMware ESXi environment to support firewall and VLAN segmentation.
• Administer enterprise firewall environments and security policies (Check Point and Palo Alto).
• Support Cisco networking infrastructure and Aruba wireless from a security perspective.
• Collaborate across cybersecurity, systems administration, and technology support teams; document configurations and procedures.
