Job summary

Placements24 is assisting a technology services client in filling a Remote Network Infrastructure Technician role. You will manage and maintain critical network infrastructure for multiple clients from a home office, with emphasis on remote monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in network administration, solid TCP/IP, routing, switching, and security knowledge, plus experience with SolarWinds, Nagios or Zabbix, and remote access tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in network administration or network infrastructure support, with a significant focus on remote management.

Responsibilities

• Perform remote monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting of network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Proactively identify and resolve network performance issues, connectivity problems, and security threats.
• Implement network changes, upgrades, and patches following established procedures and best practices.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configuration files, and standard operating procedures.
• Respond to network alerts and incidents in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand network requirements and provide effective solutions.
• Conduct regular network health checks and performance analysis.
• Ensure network security policies are implemented and maintained across all managed infrastructure.
• Stay abreast of emerging network technologies and security threats.
