Job summary

Sentinel Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer with CCNP level expertise in routing and switching for a remote role with occasional on-site support in Downers Grove, IL. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and extensive benefits.

The role requires enterprise network experience, strong knowledge of BGP/OSPF/EIGRP, and hands-on work with firewalls, DNS, DHCP, and F5 load balancers. Travel between locations and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• CCNP certification or equivalent hands-on expertise.
• Experience in enterprise network engineering and support.
• Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP).
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, DNS, DHCP, and F5 load balancers.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in production environments.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Must demonstrate a "can-do" attitude.
