Job summary

TDS Telecom is seeking a Network Specialist I - OSP Construction to coordinate and supervise outside plant field construction and splicing operations across multiple locations and states. You’ll stay current with NESC codes, assist in engineering, and prepare labor, material, and overhead estimates for projects.

The role may involve remote work across 40+ states with preference for proximity to Waupun, WI. Requires strong leadership, GIS familiarity, and project management skills to ensure

Qualifications

• Associate degree (or higher) OR 2+ years of professional work experience.
• 3+ years in OSP Construction and/or Engineering (fiber, copper, or coax) OR related Construction/Engineering roles.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate OSP projects and supervise consultants across multiple locations/states.
• Provide audits and coach teams to ensure NEC and OSP standards compliance.
• Review field reports and contractor invoicing for accuracy; monitor budget and progress.
