Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies seeks a Network Automation Engineer to design and implement automation for multi-vendor networks using Python and modern APIs. This 100% remote US role brings production-grade automation, IaC, and CI/CD practices to networking operations.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, strong Python OOP, and hands-on experience with Netmiko, NAPALM, Nornir, or Scrapli, plus familiarity with NETCONF/RESTCONF/gNMI and Ansible/Jinja2.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
5+ years of network automation experience.
Strong Python development skills with OOP and testing.
Experience with NETCONF/RESTCONF/gNMI and modern network APIs.
Familiarity with NetBox/Nautobot and source-of-truth platforms.
Git-based workflows and CI/CD experience.

Responsibilities

Automate network configuration, change management, and observability.
Build production-grade automation using APIs, IaC, and CI/CD.
Collaborate with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders.
Mentor junior engineers and participate in code/design reviews.
