Job summary

CRB Workforce is seeking an Architect Network Automation for a remote, direct-hire opportunity in the United States. Qualifications

• A minimum of 7 years working in software engineering with deep hands-on Python development and architecture/design capability.
• Track record delivering production-level applications, platforms, frameworks, or internal tooling from concept to completion.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted and agentic development approaches leveraging tools like Claude Code.
• Proven skill in creating automation spanning multi-system landscapes including AWS and Terraform, with API/workflow integration.
• Ability to take ownership of technical direction and improve engineering processes independently.
• Understanding of networking principles and APIs with experience automating large multi-vendor environments (e.g., Meraki, VeloCloud, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper Mist, NetBox).

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, engineering, and rollout of production-grade automation software across a large, multi-vendor network estate for a managed services organization.
• Shape the developer experience for the network team by establishing coding conventions and designing flexible, extensible software architectures.
• Create reusable Python libraries and internal platforms that support automation efforts across the organization.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline and accelerate software delivery.
• Guide and coach fellow engineers in adopting current software development methodologies and best practices.
• Drive technical decision-making and construct solutions from the ground up to continuously improve engineering workflows.
