Job summary

Aretum is seeking a .NET Services Engineer to design and maintain backend services, APIs, and data integrations using ASP.NET Core, C#, EF Core, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure DevOps.

This remote role may require travel for project needs. Due to federal contracting, handling of CUI and compliance requirements applies, and you will be part of a mission-driven team focused on delivering secure, scalable software solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience focusing on ASP.NET services.
• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET frameworks.
• Experience building microservices with ASP.NET Core and EFCore.
• Experience with GraphQL APIs in ASP.NET or similar.
• Proven ability to write comprehensive unit tests for microservices.
• Experience with PostgreSQL databases in large-scale apps.
• Experience with Azure cloud services and AKS.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure Pipelines.
• Strong communication and collaboration in Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop services to implement business logic and data modifications using ASP.NET and EFCore.
• Create robust unit tests for APIs and components to ensure reliability.
• Integrate observability features, including Open Telemetry metrics and correlation IDs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by testers and end-users.
• Diagnose operational problems in deployed environments and log detailed bug reports.
• Model and refine data structures for new features and optimize existing models.
• Develop complex SQL queries and views to enhance integration and performance.
• Maintain and evolve GraphQL schemas for seamless data integration across systems.
