Job summary

ASRC Federal Technology Solutions LLC is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and sustain secure enterprise applications in a remote role based in the U.S. with Pacific Time work hours.

This position requires a Secret clearance, 8–10 years of software experience, and strong .NET/ASP.NET Core skills. You will work in an Agile/DevSecOps environment across the full software lifecycle and collaborate on secure, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, plus 8-10 years of software development experience.
• 4+ years of hands‑on C#/.NET development, including ASP.NET Core and Entity Framework.
• Strong SQL Server skills, including T‑SQL and database design.
• Experience building and securing RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Agile/Scrum delivery.
• Working knowledge of a front‑end framework (Angular, React, or Blazor) and HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance or higher. Candidates without a minimum of a Secret clearance will not be considered.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications and APIs in C# using .NET 6/8+, ASP.NET Core (MVC, Web API, Razor/Blazor), and Entity Framework Core.
• Model data and write performant queries, stored procedures, and migrations in Microsoft SQL Server.
• Build and consume RESTful services and integrate with enterprise systems and third‑party APIs.
• Write unit and integration tests (xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest) and support automated testing in CI/CD pipelines.
• Contribute to build and release pipelines in Azure DevOps, GitLab, or GitHub Actions; support containerized deployments where used.
• Apply secure coding standards (OWASP Top 10) and remediate static-analysis and vulnerability‑scan findings.
• Modernize and refactor legacy .NET Framework applications toward current .NET and cloud‑ready architectures.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and deliver fixes on schedule.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and technical documentation.
