Job summary

St. Bonaventure University is seeking a Practicum Director for the MSW program in the School of Arts and Sciences. This 12-month faculty role oversees practicum development, implementation, and re-accreditation, with 50% time for administration and course release.

The role requires CSWE accreditation expertise, extensive teaching and supervisory experience, and strong online program leadership, with a remote work arrangement for this position.

Qualifications

• MSW degree from CSWE-accredited program required.
• Doctoral degree preferred in social work or related field.
• Five+ years post-MSW full-time practice experience required.
• LCSW or equivalent licensure required.
• Minimum two years of higher education teaching experience preferred.
• Experience with online course delivery and LMS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach seminar and clinical courses.
• Ensure compliance with NYSED and CSWE standards.
• Develop and maintain practicum sites and affiliation agreements.
• Recruit, train, and mentor qualified practicum supervisors.
• Oversee and support practicum liaisons, helping to resolve student issues.
• Maintain practicum education records.
• Develop, update, and distribute the MSW Practicum Manual.
• Contribute to CSWE accreditation and reaccreditation efforts.
• Develop and review Foundation and Advanced Year practicum courses.
• Represent the program within the institution and at professional events.
• Facilitate orientation workshops for students and supervisors.
• Advise students on practicum and career opportunities.
