Job summary

Protera Health, a fast-growing health-tech startup, is seeking an experienced Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physical Therapist to join the core clinical team. This fully remote role requires an active Michigan PT license and focuses on delivering high-quality orthopedic care via telehealth and asynchronous channels.

Qualifications

• Licensed PT with active, unrestricted license in the United States.
• Minimum 2 years MSK/Orthopedic PT experience.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management.
• Ability to work independently in a remote startup setting.
• Willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial PT evaluations via telehealth with functional assessment and goal setting.
• Develop and update individualized home exercise programs (HEP) and self-management plans.
• Provide follow-up visits, progressions/regressions, and care plan modifications.
• Identify red flags and coordinate escalation to medical team when appropriate.
• Educate patients on condition management, ergonomics, and pain science principles.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, PTs, and health coaches for outcomes.
• Engage with the clinical team to discuss complex cases and share best practices.
• Adhere to clinical protocols and SOPs; participate in ongoing initiatives.
