Job summary

Qualifications

• MRB Certified and understand MRB requirements and procedures.
• Proficiency in GD&T standards.
• Experience with interpretation of manufacturing drawings.
• Aerospace background including knowledge of design and aircraft structure.
• Familiarity with engine Design, Manufacturing, and Assembly & Test processes.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 10–15 years of experience in aerospace context.

Responsibilities

• Follow established engineering principles to determine steps to fabricate and assemble products meeting quality and cost standards.
• Analyze product specifications, parts drawings, and data to develop new production processes and estimate time per step; prepare operation sheets.
• Analyze existing production processes and propose changes to minimize cost, risk, wastage; improve yields and productivity.
• Coordinate technical resolution of non-conformances on engine components with CIPTs and Part Family Engineering teams.
• Participate in Engine Center Manufacturing Corrective Action Board (MCAB).
• Provide data to support corrective action identification and implementation.
• Provide robust assembly engineering coverage to production operations to resolve engine delivery issues related to production assembly engineering.
• Conduct final disposition for engineering on QNs; review QNs for completeness, defect description, and deviations.
• Perform investigations to ensure design and customer requirements are met.
• Develop cost effective repairs or rework to restore material to design intent.
• Conduct engineering dispositions including maximum extents for Accept, Repair, or Scrap of QNs.
• Verify non-conforming characteristic classification and apply proper classification.
• Ensure accurate content and placement of quality inspections for Repair disposition and related travelers.
