Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to originate loans in an assigned territory, taking applications and conducting preliminary underwriting reviews.

The role involves submitting applications to processing and underwriting for approval, and following up to secure required documents for processing, underwriting, and closing. The position emphasizes time on the road, with at least 2 hours of driving per week, and allows remote work with in-person requirements for near locations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three or more years of mortgage, sales, or real estate experience.
• Requires NMLS registration under the S.A.F.E. Act and Regulation Z and ongoing compliance with all legal or regulatory requirements.
• 2+ hours of driving per week.
• 2 years of mortgage loan origination experience with proven results.
• Remote posting; candidates near locations must work on site at least three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Originate mortgage loans in an assigned Non Bank territory.
• Take applications and conduct preliminary underwriting reviews.
• Submit loan applications to processing and underwriting for approval.
