Job summary

Capital Bank N.A. is hiring experienced Mortgage Loan Originators (MLO) or teams who proactively identify and maintain a quality network of external relationships and COIs that serve as referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities.

The Mortgage Loan Originator performs a wide range of duties related to the origination of residential mortgage loans while providing excellent customer service and effectively managing the pipeline.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience originating residential mortgages.
• Experience with FNMA/FHLMC/GNMA guidelines and CDA preferred.
• Experience using a mortgage loan management system (Encompass preferred).

Responsibilities

• Market residential mortgage loan products to real estate agents, homebuyers and builders.
• Spend 25%+ of time on marketing and outside sales including home office.
• Originate loan applications with correct pricing and investor guidelines.
• Assist the processor in securing required documentation for loan approval.
• Stay current with investor guidelines (FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA, MHF).
• Maintain high levels of customer service and manage expectations.
