Job summary

NEXA Lending is hiring a full-time Loan Officer to originate residential mortgage loans remotely. You will guide borrowers from initial consultation through funding, building strong relationships with clients and referral partners while adhering to lending guidelines.

The role requires expertise in loan products, income/assets analysis, and proficient use of LOS. Strong communication and organizational skills ensure a high-quality borrower experience across diverse programs.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills to engage borrowers and partners.
• Ability to analyze income, assets and credit to determine eligibility.
• Knowledge of mortgage products (conventional, FHA, VA) and underwriting basics.
• Familiarity with LOS and digital tools to manage pipelines and documents.
• Understanding of federal and state mortgage regulations and compliance.
• Strong organizational and time management to handle multiple files.

Responsibilities

• Originate residential mortgage loans and guide borrowers through the process.
• Prospect and build relationships with clients and referral partners.
• Conduct initial borrower consultations and gather financial documentation.
• Explain loan products, terms and requirements clearly to borrowers.
• Prepare and submit complete loan applications; coordinate with underwriting, processing and closing teams.
• Maintain accurate records and stay current with lending guidelines.
