Job summary

NovaFi Mortgage, Inc. is seeking a Loan Officer to join our Retail Sales team in a remote home office setup. The role focuses on originating residential mortgages and refinancings, while developing new business from referrals and existing relationships.

You will conduct daily sales calls, assess client needs, and present suitable mortgage options (FHA, Conventional, USDA, RD, Jumbo). Strong communication and documentation in our CRM are essential.

Qualifications

• Broker License required.
• 3+ years of mortgage sales experience.
• Knowledge of Agency Guidelines.
• Ability to positively project the company.

Responsibilities

• Conducts daily sales calls with prospective customers by introducing the Company, developing a profile, providing a value proposition, and documenting the results within the Company client relationship management tool
• Conducts frequent communiques with established/previous customers to see where additional opportunities exist for an expansion of business, and documenting the results within the Company client relationship management tool
• Generates mortgage submissions that are offered by the Company (FHA/Conventional/USDA/RD/Jumbo, etc.) by working with customers and matching the appropriate product with their needs
• Provides information relevant to the risks and benefits of each program the applicant is qualified for; effectively explain and communicate the terms of each product and ensure all documents necessary are signed by the borrower
• Gathers all initial documentation required based upon the customer’s selected loan program and inputs into the Company proprietary system
• Takes thorough and complete loan applications by analyzing and prequalifying the applicant information to determine the viability of the customer’s desired loan program
• Pulls credit, analyzes credit, and compares for accuracy with the mortgage borrower’s statements
• Actively seeks opportunities to stay informed on trends and developments in the real estate market, as well as changing rules and regulations pertaining to conventional and government-insured mortgages
• Other responsibilities, as assigned.
