Job summary

Alliant Credit Union in Chicago, IL is seeking a Mortgage Lending Specialist to act as the primary contact for borrowers and all parties in the loan process. You will analyze credit, run reports, and prep applications while coordinating with the lending team.

Responsibilities include monitoring loan dates, updating files, and maintaining strong customer and partner relationships. A work-from-home option up to 3 days per week is provided where eligible.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of mortgage lending or related experience.
• Preferred - Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).

Responsibilities

• Act as primary point of contact for borrowers and lending team.
• Assist in appointment setting with prospective and new applicants.
• Analyze credit and financials to determine appropriate loan products under guidance.
• Run credit on assigned loans and prepare applications.
• Update credit reports and AUS findings as needed.
• Support collection and submission of loan documentation.
• Monitor key dates in loan transactions and respond accordingly.
• Maintain contact with customers and referral partners for follow-ups.
