Job summary

The Standard is seeking a Mortgage Loan Analyst to review, underwrite, negotiate, and recommend mortgage loan transactions across originations, refinances, and actions. Role includes evaluating commercial real estate, financial statements, and third-party reports to support loan origination, investor relations, closing, and servicing.

Travel once a year to correspondent markets with an Underwriter or Manager is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, accounting, or a related field is required.
2+ years of experience in commercial mortgage lending, real estate investment, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Review, underwrite, negotiate, and recommend new loan originations and refinances within established guidelines.
Analyze borrower and tenant financials, organizational structures, and third‑party reports.
Prepare underwriting spreadsheets, commitment letters, and documentation for extensions, assumptions, modifications, and other loan actions.
Support communication and workflow between underwriting, investor relations, closing, and servicing teams.
Develop and maintain portfolio reports, models, and market research to support mortgage investment decisions.
Conduct property site inspections and provide analytical support to the local market team.
