Job summary

First American is seeking a collections team lead to drive daily operations, coach staff, and ensure compliant customer interactions. The role requires strong negotiation skills and experience in mortgage servicing, with emphasis on training and performance improvement.

Working hours are 10:00am-7:00pm or 11:00am-8:00pm EST, Monday-Friday, with remote work options. The candidate will oversee workflow, monitor metrics, and support the supervisor in alignment with investor requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years mortgage servicing and collections experience.
• Demonstrated coaching or leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily team operations and prioritize workload to meet service levels.
• Perform inbound and outbound collections calls with negotiation and compliance.
• Handle escalated customer situations including delinquencies and disputes.
• Analyze collections data and report to supervisor and management.
• Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to specialists.
