Job summary

Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation is seeking a Secondary Marketing Analyst - Analytics to join our fully remote Secondary Marketing team. You will analyze interest rate risk across the mortgage pipeline, perform pricing support, and deliver data-driven insights to bolster profitability and risk management.

Collaborating with capital markets and servicing teams, you will configure pricing tools, enhance models, and produce ad hoc reporting for leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in Secondary Marketing, Capital Markets, mortgage analytics, or a related area.
• Understanding of mortgage-backed securities, capital markets, and mortgage industry fundamentals.
• Experience with quantitative analysis and pricing models is preferred.
• Interest in or exposure to MBS trading, pipeline hedging, or mortgage risk management is a plus.
• Progress toward, or completion of, professional designations such as CFA or FRM is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review daily loan pricing using internal pricing models and align with profitability objectives.
• Support agency co-issue transactions, specified pools, and issuance of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Ginnie Mae securities.
• Assist servicing activities, including servicing-retained, servicing-released, and bulk sale transactions.
• Configure and maintain secondary marketing systems, including pricing, valuation models, and risk adjustments.
• Develop and enhance pricing tools and models for best-execution analysis and profitability optimization.
• Support strategic secondary marketing initiatives, product development, and process improvements.
• Analyze pull-through performance and update system configurations to reflect market and portfolio trends.
• Support daily trading activities through analytical reporting, documentation, and data validation.
• Identify opportunities to improve analytical models, technology platforms, databases, and operational processes.
• Help manage relationships with broker-dealers, correspondent partners, investors, and third-party vendors.
• Prepare ad hoc reporting and business analysis for management and stakeholders.
