Qualifications

• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in medical scheduling or patient services; dermatology or surgical scheduling experience preferred.
• Prior experience coordinating Mohs procedures strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of insurance verification and prior authorization processes.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage high-volume, detail-oriented scheduling.
• Proficiency in EMR systems, scheduling platforms, and Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Schedule Mohs surgeries and related appointments in line with provider templates and guidelines.
• Coordinate multi-step surgical appointments including same-day closures and pathology coordination.
• Provide detailed pre-operative instructions and education on Mohs procedures.
• Review timelines and post-operative care instructions with patients.
• Audit schedules for accuracy and maintain documentation within the EMR system.
