Wispr is building a scalable voice interface that aims to reach billions of users. As a ML scientist, you will prototype features, design infrastructure for sub-500ms LLM inference, and scale the personalization of speech models and LLMs across a global user base.

You will focus on ML personalization, training speech models, and utilizing fine-tuning and RL techniques to enhance LLM performance. A fast-moving, collaborative team culture and hybrid work options are offered.

Qualifications

• PhD in machine learning or related field (neuroscience, EE, etc)
• Strong publication track record at top conferences (ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR, ICASSP)
• Fluency in Python and LLM development
• Attention to detail and eagerness to learn
• Aptitude and clarity of thought
• Creativity in R&D, excellence in engineering, and code velocity

Responsibilities

• Prototype and design new features of our voice interface.
• Build infrastructure for <500ms LLM inference for millions of requests.
• Scale personalization of speech models and LLMs.
• Lead ML personalization, training speech models, and applying fine-tuning and RL to improve LLMs.
