Job summary

Natera is hiring a Machine Learning Scientist to join our AI and computational biology team. This role develops and deploys deep learning models across digital pathology, genomics, transcriptomics, and cfDNA modalities.

You will build multimodal AI systems that integrate imaging, molecular and clinical data, leveraging proprietary genomic and clinical datasets. You will collaborate with scientists, pathologists, bioinformaticians, and software engineers to scale machine learning approaches that

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, Computational Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics, Statistics, or related field with ML/AI focus.
• Experience developing ML models for biomedical applications (imaging, genomics, multi-omics).
• Hands-on PyTorch and production-level Python development.
• Experience with cloud-based training workflows (AWS).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evaluate deep learning models across biomedical modalities (imaging, genomics, transcriptomics, cfDNA).
• Develop multimodal architectures integrating imaging with molecular/clinical data.
• Build scalable, production-quality ML workflows on AWS.
• Apply CNNs, transformers, representation learning, and fine‑tuning of foundation models.
• Collaborate with scientists, pathologists, bioinformaticians and engineers to deploy tools.
• Analyze outputs to generate reproducible biological/clinical insights.
• Document pipelines and communicate findings to stakeholders.
