Job summary

Scale AI is seeking a Human Frontier Collective Fellow for a fully remote, six-month independent contractor role in the United States. You will help design, evaluate, and interpret advanced generative AI systems while collaborating with Scale’s interdisciplinary researchers.

Eligible candidates have a PhD or postdoc in CS/CE and 1–3+ years as ML engineer or data scientist, with Python and PyTorch/TensorFlow proficiency and AWS/MLOps experience a plus. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• PhD or postdoc in CS/CE or related field.
• 1-3+ years in ML engineering or data science.
• Proficient in Python; PyTorch/TensorFlow; AWS and MLOps a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, review, and optimize PyTorch models for real-world workloads.
• Collaborate with Scale's research team on publications.
• Advise on GPU optimization and scalable ML workflows.
