Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is offering a fully remote, 1099 independent contractor opportunity for the HFC Fellowship, lasting six months with potential extension. Candidates should be authorized to work in the United States and have 1–3+ years in ML engineering or data science.

As part of the program, you will work on PyTorch-based projects, discuss GPU optimization, and contribute to research publications while collaborating with a global network of AI researchers.

Qualifications

• PhD or postdoctoral degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-3+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or Data Scientist.
• Strong Python skills and experience with PyTorch and TensorFlow; familiarity with AWS and MLOps tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Engage in high-impact ML projects with partner AI labs to design and optimize PyTorch models.
• Collaborate with Scale’s research team to publish technical reports and papers.
• Advise on GPU optimization, scaling, and efficiency of AI systems.
