Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking a Military Strategic Communications Specialist to provide executive-level writing and strategic communication support for SPACEFOREUR‑AF leadership. The role emphasizes speeches, talking points, and narratives aligned with command priorities in a remote, part-time capacity.

Ideal candidates will craft content for senior leaders, translate complex topics for diverse audiences, and coordinate with Public Affairs to ensure messaging consistency.

Qualifikationen

• 6 years relevant experience with Bachelor's in related field; 4 years with Masters; or 10 years with a high school diploma.
• Experience writing speeches, talking points, or executive communications for senior leaders.
• Ability to write persuasively in the voice of the Commanding General.
• Ability to simplify technical topics into accessible content.
• Strong editing, proofreading and factual accuracy skills.
• Ability to work independently with tight deadlines.

Aufgaben

• Develop, coordinate, and revise speeches, remarks, scripts, talking points, and other executive communication products for the SPACEFOREUR AF Commander and senior leadership.
• Write in the voice of the Commanding General, reflecting intent, tone, themes, and messaging priorities.
• Research using command documents, SME inputs, policy materials, and open sources to inform content.
• Prepare messaging for senior leader engagements, ceremonies, and events.
• Collaborate with Public Affairs to align with approved strategies and audiences.
• Coordinate drafts with staff directorates, protocol, and executive leadership.
• Translate complex topics into clear narratives for diverse audiences.
• Prepare read-ahead materials, bios, talking papers, and Q&A papers.
• Edit, proofread, and fact-check products; maintain version control.
• Deliver content on time, including short-notice tasks.
• Advise Public Affairs on messaging frameworks and themes.
• Support additional writing tasks including internal communications and ceremonial products.
• Operate effectively in a remote/CONUS environment within an OCONUS workflow.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
