Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Middleware System Administrator for a 100% remote US-based contract role. You will manage JBoss EAP middleware, implement deployment automation via Azure DevOps, and ensure scalable, highly available environments.

You will collaborate with infrastructure, security, networking, and application teams to optimize middleware operations, monitor performance, and maintain runbooks and documentation.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of IT experience.
• Expert in JBoss EAP 7/8.x administration and deployment.
• Strong Azure DevOps pipelines, release management, and CI/CD experience.
• Experience with clustering, failover, and high-availability configurations.
• Proficient in monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of middleware.
• Collaborates effectively with infrastructure, security, networking and application teams.

Responsibilities

• Platform Installation & Configuration: Install, configure, monitor, and administer JBoss EAP environments.
• Configure and support JBoss clustering and failover for high availability.
• Configure, administer, and troubleshoot integrations with enterprise components and systems.
• Ensure reliable routing, session handling, resiliency, and failover across tiers.
• Configure Azure DevOps integrations with JBoss for automated deployment.
• Manage deployment workflows in Azure DevOps; release tagging and approvals.
