Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an experienced Middleware Engineer II to design, develop, and maintain scalable integration solutions using MuleSoft and related technologies. The role includes L3 production support, data exchange across enterprise systems, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in IT/middleware, strong MuleSoft and Java skills, and hands-on experience with RabbitMQ and MFT.

Qualifications

Minimum 7 years of IT experience with middleware and integration development.
5+ years designing, developing, testing, and deploying MuleSoft-based integrations.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in information systems, CS, or related field.
Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ, B2B integrations, and MFT for secure data exchange.
Experience with CI/CD/ALM tools: Jenkins, SonarQube, Bitbucket, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence.
Strong knowledge of XML, JSON, SOAP, REST, RAML, SAML, SFTP, JDBC; Java, SQL, Python; Unix/Linux scripting.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy integration solutions using MuleSoft, leveraging API-led connectivity, event-driven, batch, and real-time processing.
Provide L3 production support, troubleshoot complex issues, and reduce recurring incidents.
Design and implement canonical data models and reusable integration frameworks for scalability and maintainability.
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation in Confluence and support cross-functional projects.
Collaborate with application leads on large programs, performing technical analysis and integration design.
