Job summary

Washington Connections Academy is seeking a certified Middle School Math Teacher for a remote, full‑time position open to residents of Washington, Oregon, or Idaho. You will manage instructional programs and communicate with caretakers, learning coaches, and students to ensure successful completion of instructional programs.

The role requires WA teacher certification in K‑8 Elementary Education or Mathematics, strong tech skills, and the ability to log contacts and support students with MTSS.

Qualifications

• Washington teacher certification in K‑8 Elementary Education or Mathematics.
• Residence in Washington preferred.
• Strong technology skills (Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Zoom, Nearpod, data tools).
• Excellent oral and written communication with diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to travel for one or two weeks at a time, including overnight travel for events.

Responsibilities

• Host a homeroom of students, acting as a role model and mentor throughout the school year.
• Host weekly homeroom LiveLessons.
• Support students and families through key cycle tasks (Welcome Calls, Intent to Return, monthly WSLP Progress Checks).
• Encourage student engagement in lessons and LiveLessons.
• Welcome new homeroom students and families within the first week of enrollment.
• Frequently check in with students and families regarding academics and promotion, especially if off‑track.
