Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking a Microbiologist for a remote contract role focusing on AI data annotation and microbiological analysis. The candidate will investigate microorganisms, contribute to medical microbiology projects, and assess antibiotic effects on microbes for AI model accuracy.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree or higher in biology-related fields, with strong written and verbal communication skills and experience documenting data for AI workflows. Remote work is accepted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field.
• Extensive knowledge of bacterial, fungal, and algal systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in investigating microbial structure and physiology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Ability to document processes and findings clearly for integration into AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Investigate development, morphology, and behavior of microorganisms including bacteria, fungi, and algae.
• Contribute to study of relationship between microorganisms and disease, supporting medical microbiology projects.
• Assess impact of antibiotics and other agents on microbial populations for AI model accuracy.
• Document experimental findings and processes with clarity for AI training data.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure scientific rigor and data integrity in AI development.
• Provide written and verbal expertise on microbiological phenomena for real-world and computational contexts.
• Utilize rubrics and evaluation criteria to assess data quality and support AI training workflows.
