Job summary

Alex and Ani is looking for a Merchandise Manager to join our Merchandising team and play a key role in developing and managing our product assortment.

This role focuses on product performance, assortment decisions, trends, and seasonal launches, working with Planning, Product Development, Marketing, E‑Commerce, and Operations.

The ideal candidate is analytical, commercially minded, highly organized, and comfortable turning data into actionable insights in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in merchandising, buying, planning, or related field in consumer products with high SKU count.
• Strong analytical skills and Excel proficiency.
• Experience translating data into actionable recommendations.
• Commercial mindset focused on customers and product performance.
• Self-directed, adaptable, and comfortable with ownership in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support development and execution of seasonal and ongoing assortments.
• Analyze sales, inventory, margin, and product performance for trends and risks.
• Evaluate performance at SKU, collection, and category levels and surface insights.
• Maintain and update assortment, product, and merchandising reports.
• Present data-driven recommendations at assortment reviews.
• Collaborate with Merchandise Planning to monitor sales and inventory.
• Support product launches, assortment changes, promotions, and seasonal moments.
• Conduct competitive and market research to identify trends and opportunities.
• Partner with Product Development and Design on new product development.
• Coordinate with E-Commerce and Marketing to align merchandising strategies.
• Assist lifecycle management including replenishment and markdowns.
• Prepare merchandising presentations and business recaps for meetings.
• Identify opportunities to improve merchandising processes and reporting.
