Our client is a global virtual care leader, and is seeking a highly motivated and independent Staff Therapist to join their dynamic care team. In this remote role, you will provide vital mental health support to adult and adolescent patients via secure video and telephonic appointments. Must be licensed (Minimum of 3+ years of non-supervised independent practice experience) in one of the following states:
- Maryland
- California

Summary of Position:
As a Virtual Staff Therapist, you will be an integral part of our care team, delivering exceptional mental health services remotely. You will have the autonomy to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and timely care. Your expertise will contribute to shaping the future of virtual mental healthcare delivery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Independently conduct thorough evaluations, provide accurate diagnoses, and develop effective treatment plans for adult and adolescent mental health patients.
- Deliver outpatient tele-mental health therapy services via secure video and phone communication channels, adhering to the highest standards of telehealth practice.
- Serve as a readily available resource for the Care Team, proactively addressing issues and ensuring the well-being of our shared patient panel.
- Accurately analyze, generate, and maintain comprehensive clinical records, reports, test results, medical histories, and assessments to inform diagnoses and treatment strategies.
- Conduct insightful patient interviews to understand their needs and collaboratively develop appropriate intervention plans.
- Actively participate in staff meetings, trainings, and other relevant activities as directed by leadership.
- Consistently meet or exceed established clinical quality and patient care standards, strictly adhering to departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
- Maintain meticulous, detailed, and timely medical records in compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Develop a strong understanding of the full spectrum of services, including medical second opinions, treatment decision support, virtual primary care, tele-dermatology, and other offerings.
- Provide support to the Medical Director and product team in the development of innovative new products and services, as needed.
- Collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary medical-model teams to provide holistic patient care.
- Uphold strict patient confidentiality and adhere to all federal and state health information privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA).
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Qualifications Expected for Position (Preferred):
- Experience utilizing empirically supported psychotherapies for the treatment of PTSD, as well as depressive and anxiety disorders.
- A strong passion for delivering high-quality mental healthcare.
- Experience providing both individual and family therapy.
- Robust working knowledge and background in various psychotherapeutic modalities.
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written), planning, and conflict resolution skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to be punctual for all patient appointments.
- Enthusiasm for the evolution of virtual care and a willingness to champion its benefits.
- Willingness to obtain licensure in additional states as required and funded by the Company.
Qualifications Expected for Position (Required):
- Minimum of 3+ years of non-supervised independent practice experience in a clinical setting, demonstrating expertise in assessing, diagnosing, and developing patient treatment plans.
- Current, unrestricted licensure to practice independently in all states where an active license is held.
Educational Requirements:
- Master's degree or higher in Social Work from a graduate school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
- Successful completion of required training hours under the supervision of a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) (as applicable by state for independent practice) in a reputable clinical setting.
Required License or Credential:
- Certification as a LICSW or LCSW (as applicable by state for independent practice).
- Current licensure for independent clinical practice as a LICSW or LCSW from any of the 50 U.S. states or the District of Columbia.
- Certification as an LPC/LMHC/LPCC/LMFT in state(s) of California, Texas, or New York (as applicable by state for independent practice).
