Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. is hiring an Assessment Specialist for a full-time role operating in a remote centralized team model with required proximity to PLC facilities within 60 miles.

You will perform level of care assessments in acute mental health situations, coordinate with physicians and hospital staff, and ensure EMTALA/HIPAA compliance while delivering timely evaluations. Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of current behavioral health concepts, principles and methods of treatment.
• Able to navigate technology solutions with minimal guidance/support.
• Comfortable with Telehealth solutions and providing care through virtual platform.
• Possesses good multitasking skills to navigate multiple systems during a shift.

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests for assessment in facilities and locations serviced by the PLC.
• Coordinate communication with physicians, hospital staff, and stakeholders for thorough assessments.
• Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA/EMTALA compliance at all times.
• Complete Risk Assessments and Safety Plans within the EHRs used by facilities.
• Provide timely assessments (aim for 60 minutes from initial request) and accurate documentation.
