Job summary

Solaris Health System in Irvine, CA is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Counselor to provide therapeutic services to clients facing mental health challenges in a community clinic setting.

You will conduct clinical assessments, implement CBT and DBT, maintain confidential records, and collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other specialists. Teletherapy experience and ongoing development are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Active license to practice as a LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.
• Experience applying solution-focused psychotherapy interventions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for rapport building.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Collaborative mindset and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Utilize CBT and DBT approaches and tailor techniques per progress.
• Maintain confidential HIPAA-compliant records.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other specialists.
• Participate in case consultations and peer reviews.
• Educate clients and families about mental health and resources.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and research.
