Job summary

BD is seeking a Technical Writing Specialist to develop clear, accurate operator manuals and other customer-facing documents for Advanced Patient Monitoring devices. You will translate SME input into step-by-step user instructions with GUI images and workflows.

The role is remote-based but requires PST work hours with quarterly onsite visits to Irvine, CA. A bachelor’s degree and 2 years in healthcare technical writing are required, plus samples demonstrating your capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Two years of healthcare technical writing experience.
• Experience distilling complex inputs into clear manuals.
• Willing to submit writing samples.

Responsibilities

• Develop and edit operator manuals and Service Manuals from SMEs; translate input into user instructions with GUI steps.
• Maintain documentation in a standard format following established guidelines.
• Collaborate with team to clarify reference materials and documentation.
• Review documents for style, clarity, grammar, and punctuation.
• Identify and correct inconsistencies and gain consensus with collaborators.
• Perform other duties assigned by leadership.
