Job summary

Clover is seeking an Actuarial Analyst for its rotational program. You will work with seasoned actuaries on financial forecasting, reserving, medical economics, pricing, and risk adjustment across Medicare Advantage, gaining broad exposure.

You’ll build analytical models, analyze large datasets, and present findings to leaders. The program emphasizes developing technical and business skills, with a path toward actuarial credentials and long-term growth at Clover.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in healthcare finance, analytics, actuarial, consulting, strategy, operations, or related field.
• SOA exams completed or in progress.
• Experience in Medicare Advantage, managed care, or value-based healthcare preferred.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with large datasets.
• SQL and Excel required; Python, R, AI tools, Github, and BI platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantitative analyses that support financial forecasting, reserving, pricing, revenue optimization, risk adjustment, and value-based care initiatives.
• Develop and maintain analytical models using actuarial principles and large datasets to evaluate performance and support decisions.
• Partner with actuaries and cross-functional leaders to analyze performance and develop data-driven recommendations.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and executive presentations communicating findings for planning and monitoring.
• Support enterprise financial planning by analyzing medical costs, revenue drivers, risk adjustments, and utilization trends.
• Identify opportunities to automate analyses using SQL, Excel, Python.
