Job summary

GuideIT, LLC is looking for a Medical Records Abstractor to perform efficient abstraction of medical record charts and verify data for accuracy.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring patient identification and data integrity in a remote work setting. Candidates should have at least 1 year in clinical data abstraction or 3 years in healthcare and have knowledge of medical terminology.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience in clinical data abstraction and coding, or 3+ years as a healthcare professional.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and prior experience with electronic medical records preferred.
• Must have strong communication skills and be able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Cross check patient demographics for accurate identification.
• Search computerized medical records for pertinent patient histories.
• Correctly enter patient data into electronic systems.
