Job description

Our client, a leading orthopedic practice, is seeking full-time Medical Paralegals to support their growing team. This is a remote role, but candidates must reside in Florida, New York, or New Jersey. The role requires a highly detail-oriented and deadline-driven individual who can manage medical record review, build treatment timelines, and research applicable treatment guidelines and disability criteria. Success in this role requires strong critical thinking, comfort with feedback, and a genuine interest in medical-legal research.

25.00-$30.00 / hour + benefits

Job Responsibilities

You'll review medical records and draft comprehensive treatment timelines.

You will interpret orthopedic medical terminology and summarize patient treatment history.

You will conduct heavy research, official disability guidelines, MTGs, and state-specific Workers' Compensation treatment plans.

You must ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to quality standards in all documentation.

This is a head-down role involving focused reading, writing, and digital coordination with physicians.

You'll operate independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and be expected to revise and improve documents based on detailed feedback.

Qualifications

You must have a professional certification and / or a college degree.

Experience in Workers' Compensation or Personal Injury law is required.

Experience reviewing official disability guidelines, MTGs, and state-specific Workers' Compensation treatment plans.

A strong understanding of orthopedic medical terminology is essential.

You must be able to research and interpret policy, treatment guidelines, and disability frameworks.

Strong writing, grammar, and document formatting skills are required.

Strong analytical and policy research skills are critical.
