Job summary

CorVel is seeking a Medical Only Claims Supervisor to lead a team of claims professionals, uphold quality, productivity, and customer service standards, and ensure adherence to policies. This remote role supports the claims department's goals and requires travel as needed.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, at least five years in claims handling, and Workers' Compensation knowledge. A license or certification in Workers' Compensation remains required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or combination of education and related experience.
• Demonstrated public speaking skills.
• Minimum of 5 years' claims handling experience.
• Knowledge of Workers' Compensation required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises WC claims staff in day-to-day operations.
• Assists Claims Manager with recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding staff.
• Ensures staff compliance with Workers' Compensation laws and reporting requirements.
• Provides training, coaching and performance evaluations; suggests merit-based actions.
• Offers guidance on complex compensability, investigation, and litigation issues.
