Job summary

Cor Vel Corporation is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Medical Only Claims Specialist to manage non-complex medical-only claims under close supervision. This remote role supports the Claims Department and CorVel’s clients.

The position involves validating coverage, reserving funds, and communicating status to customers, claimants, and clients while adhering to guidelines and assisting with more complex claims as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related experience required.
• 1 year+ industry experience and claims handling preferred.
• Workers’ Compensation experience required and licensure as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Manage non-complex, medical-only workers’ compensation claims under supervision.
• Confirm policy coverage and acknowledgement of claims.
• Establish reserves and authorize payments within limits.
• Communicate claim status with customers, claimants, and clients.
• Adhere to guidelines and participate in claims reviews.
