Job summary

EviCore, part of Evernorth Health Services, a division of The Cigna Group, seeks a Medical Director with Radiation Oncology expertise to perform evidence-based medical reviews supporting high-quality patient care. You will complete time-sensitive reviews, discuss cases with referring providers, and recommend appropriate alternatives when needed.

This role emphasizes collaboration with a large physician network.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with current U.S. medical license and board certification (ABMS or AOA) in Radiation Oncology.
• 3+ years of relevant clinical experience post residency/fellowship.
• Knowledge of state and federal laws; utilization review standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete time-sensitive, evidence-based medical reviews for medical necessity.
• Conduct peer-to-peer physician consultations to discuss evidence-based care.
• Recommend alternative services or treatments as needed.
• Collaborate with over 500 EviCore physician colleagues to ensure evidence-based decision making.
