Job summary

CorroHealth is seeking a Medical Director, Concurrent Review, to evaluate hospitalizations nationwide. The role emphasizes using clinical expertise to determine admission status and provide expert recommendations.

This remote position offers a predictable schedule and a path to expand knowledge in Utilization Review. Ideal candidates hold an MD/DO with an unrestricted license in the US and have post-residency acute care experience.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required and board eligible/certified
• Active unrestricted medical license in at least one US state
• Specialization in Adult Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Hospitalist, Nephrology, General Surgery or Infectious Disease; board certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year post-residency acute care hospital experience in a US hospital within past 5 years or recent physician advisor experience
• Working knowledge of hospitals’ EMR; computer proficient
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; team player

Responsibilities

• Utilize clinical expertise to identify salient points within a case review
• Perform focused real-time and post-discharge case reviews in the hospital’s EMR
• Identify areas of process improvements and inefficiencies
• Interact with attending physicians at client hospitals via secure messaging, text, and phone when needed
• Opportunities to participate in special projects, focus groups, new Medical Director training, or organizational committees
