Job summary

DQS South Africa (Pty) Ltd. is seeking a Medical Device Lead Auditor for an immediate contract opportunity. The position is home-based with extensive travel required. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in life sciences or engineering and at least four years of experience in quality systems management and medical device regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include performing audits at client locations, developing audit plans, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Preference will be given to those with lead auditor qualifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years experience in quality systems management.
• Minimum of four years experience in medical device development and testing.
• Passed or ability to pass an accredited ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 lead auditor course.

Responsibilities

• Visit client locations and perform audits as specified.
• Develop audit scope and plan.
• Present audit conclusions to customers.

Skills

Knowledge of management systems audits

Experience with ISO-9001, ISO 13485, and GMP auditing

Ability to manage audit team activities

Ability to assess customer needs

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a physical or life science or engineering
