Humana Inc. is seeking a Medical Coding Coordinator for a remote role in the United States. The role requires CPC certification and at least 3 years of certified medical coding experience, with knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid guidelines.

You will extract clinical data from medical records, assign CPT/ICD-10-CM codes, and manage data with accuracy. Occasional travel to Humana offices may be needed for training.

Qualifications

• AAPC CPC certification required (no Apprentice)
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Certified Medical Coder
• Experience with Medicare and Medicaid coding guidelines
• Strong data entry and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams

Responsabilités

• Extract clinical information from medical records and assign ICD-10-CM/CPT codes
• Analyze, enter and manipulate databases related to coding
• Respond to internal requests for medical information and clarify as needed
